So do you see that trail in the middle of the photo that seems to drop off? That was our trail. It's another couple thousand feet to the bottom from that drop off. Still hard to believe I hiked that.

All in all, the Grand Canyon ~1 vertical mile from top to bottom. Lotsa vertical hiking. But no-- we didn't go up that. We snaked around it... and then some more snaking.

This is how we got to the main building and restaurant at the Arenal Lodge. Pretty fun to walk on. Quite a drop. It had a sign that said no more than two people at a time. Heh heh.

Found this guy on the way to the hotel right next to the Arenal Volcano. Had to jump out and take some photos. Later that night we'd get a nice surprise when one of these ran into the hotel room and stole some of our food. It kept on coming back. Nasty little buggers. They look cool though.

They call this place the Cloud Forest. It's almost always foggy. You can feel the mist as you walk. The air feels soo clean though. I think I enjoyed it more than Dad since I wasn't driving :)

An interesting story: As I was shooting this church, some locals came up and wanted me to shoot their new church which was just down the road. I told them that I thought this church was much more beautiful than their new one. They weren't too sure about that. :)
